A winning Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth $ 77,020 was sold at Gajanana Inc., located at 378 Stuyvesant Avenue in Irvington, Essex County in NJ for the Thursday, May 15 drawing.
Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain said the winning ticket was the only one sold for Thursday's drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were: 02, 09, 16, 23 and 36.
“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Gajanana Inc. ,” said Jourdain. “For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $750. Overnight, they have become yet another ‘lucky location' for a very fortunate winner.”
Jourdain also noted that 2 ,643 other players won $67,080 in cash prizes in the Thursday drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 103 players won cash prizes of $380.00 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 2,540 players won $11.00 each.
Jersey Cash 5 is among the Lottery's more popular games with an average jackpot of $300,000. Sales from Jersey Cash 5 last year were just under $126 million.
