The media had reports that Tech Mahindra Limited has bagged a $700 million contract from British Telecom (BT).
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Tech Mahindra Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We are often in discussions/negotiations with multiple customers/prospects to secure business. We are currently in exclusive discussions with BT to secure a contract in relation to a potential transaction but we have not entered into any $700m contract with BT as reported by the media. We are also bound by confidentiality obligations in relation to the contracts under negotiations." -- www.nseindia.com
