Phoenix Mars Sends First Pictures

First images are coming from Mars exploration mission Phoenix after the spacecraft successfully made landing on Mars.

This is a raw, or unprocessed, image taken by the Phoenix lander on Mars, May 25, 2008. This is a screen grab taken from NASA TV.

The researchers are first going to look at the solar panels to ensure the health of the spacecraft.

The comparison of Mars climate and weather and the Earth climate and weather has been a discussion for almost a hundred years. The images coming from Phoenix will give better idea about how is the weather on the Red Planet.

The pictures are deployed absolutely beautiful. Cristal Clear pictures that NASA TV just showed. I am now waiting until NASA posts the images on the website so we can show here.

It shows a great surface of Mars of the horizon.

Scientists are going to begin the process of looking at the landscape and the internal temperatures. In the next few days Phoenix will send more images.

This opens an entire new era in space exploration.

In the future Phoenix will send color images from Mars.
