In addition to our May session, we also feature one week Adult Art Institutes, running June 24-July 1 during the day (Intensive Figure Drawing & Portraiture or (Art in Nature/Nature in Art). All new this summer is and evening session running July 7-31 during the evening (classes such as Studio Sampler: Painting, Watercolor I, Art of Stone Carving, Large Scale Drawing and Painting, and Marketing Your Art Digitally). CALLING ALL TEACHERS!
The Museum has classes just for you! Our popular Teacher Institutes include three on-site choices for teachers this summer, including Chinese Art & Culture, June 23-27, Writing as Witness, July 28-August 1, Arts Immersion Teacher Institute: Mrs. Freake & Baby Mary, August 11-15. Teachers can also choose the exciting option to travel to Greece to participate in Teacher Institute: From the Acropolis to the Islands—the Architecture and Art of Greece, July 1-15. You need not be an art teacher to participate. Teacher institutes are open to K-12 teachers from any discipline.
For those who want to try something new, sign up for one of our August Workshops. A myriad of programming is offered in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, or all day August 4-8 (Introduction to Acrylic Painting, Nature and Outdoor Photography for Beginners, Figure in Landscape Workshop, The Art of the Children's Picture Book, or the Encaustic Painting Workshop, just to name a few!).
