Casio released the first official Dolphin & Whale Eco-research Network Baby-G watches at the 4th International Dolphin & Whale Conference, which was held in Japan in 1994. For over a decade, Casio has donated a portion of the watch sales to help promote dolphin and whale research and educational activities worldwide.
The new watch has all of the great features that make the Baby-G lineup stand out as a high quality, durable watch. The BG3000K-2 is shock resistant and 200M water resistant, which makes it a great watch to wear for a day at the beach or for a dolphin and whale watching excursion. The watch has an EL Backlight with Afterglow and World Time. This watch is perfect for outdoor adventures and traveling on the high seas.
Back case engraving “Dolphin & Whale Eco-Research Network All as One 2008” shows humans swimming together in the ocean with dolphins and whales and are surrounded by plants and animals, symbolizing how all life is sharing our common home – the planet earth.
“Casio’s Baby-G line has been honored to support I.C.E.R.C and the wonderful work they do to make environmental awareness and protection an integral part of our daily lives,” said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “Baby-G will continue to support the Dolphin & Whale Eco-Research Network and educational outreach.”
The BG3000K-2 comes in ocean blue and pink color combination and will be available at select Macy’s stores in June with an MSRP of $99.
