Tatum O'Neal is the daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal and was married to tennis star John McEnroe. The couple have three children. Actress Farrah Fawcett, currently battling cancer, has been in a committed relationship with Ryan O’Neal since 1982. Tatum lived with the couple while growing up.
O’Neal won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 10 for her role in the movie Paper Moon. She wrote a tell-all memoir in 2004 about being abused and neglected as a child and her lifelong struggles with sobriety.

After her parents divorced, Ryan O'Neal obtained custody and Tatum was exposed to his celebrity, bachelor lifestyle, as well as his temper.
In 1986, O'Neal wed tennis superstar John McEnroe. No one from her family attended the ceremony. The couple had three children: Kevin, Sean, and Emily and divorced in 1992. Following the divorce, O'Neal's drug problems re-emerged and she developed an addiction to heroin. As a result of her drug problems, McEnroe obtained custody of the children in 1998.
Las night Tatum O'Neal was arrested for buying crack and coke near her apartment building, she was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
