The countdown to Super Smash Bros. Brawl begins!

Have you ever argued with friends and family about who’s the ‘hardest’ Nintendo character and who would be left standing after a brawl? Frustrated at how you can never back up your claims? Well fret no more as a resolution to settle those disagreements has arrived! Super Smash Bros.

Brawl arrives for Wii across Europe on 27 June 2008, giving everyone the chance to settle their differences once and for all by pitching iconic Nintendo characters against each other! And with the new ability to take the brawl online, anyone anywhere can make their favourite character the most feared of them all!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl takes over 30 of the most famous Nintendo and other familiar gaming characters and turns them into hardened brawlers to compete for the prize of becoming the greatest brawling champion! Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Donkey Kong are perhaps the most famous personalities of them all, but with Wario, Diddy Kong, Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog making their debuts, the challenge for players to remain on top of the brawling pile is tougher than ever!

Similar to recent multiplayer games like Mario Kart Wii, players can challenge each other face-to-face in the living room or take the brawl online. Via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection everyone can easily compete against or join forces with friends and family, no matter how close or far away they are. With up to four players competing in one fight, the level of intensity is extreme -making battles frenetic, fast paced and exhilarating! If that wasn’t enough, during well-deserved breaks players can bet on other battles using coins they have built up in the course of their own brawls!

Numerous control options make Super Smash Bros. Brawl accessible to both experienced and beginner gamers. Whether you choose to use the Wii Remote (with or without Nunchuk attached), the Nintendo GameCube Controller or the Classic Controller, everyone will quickly find a preferred method of brawling and it won’t take long before blistering ‘smash’ attacks will be happening left, right and centre!

As with previous instalments, the goal of Super Smash Bros. Brawl is simple: be victorious by battling other characters in the game’s electrifying environments, equip your character with crazy and outrageous power-ups, inflicting as much damage as possible and finally propelling opponents off the screen to score points! In addition, an action-packed solo adventure is included to ensure players remain entertained after they have beaten everyone else into submission!

With over 30 characters, online play, an enthralling single player story mode, imaginative and fully customisable arenas, numerous battle modes and much, much more for everyone to discover, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the definitive single and multiplayer game for any wannabe Wii brawler. Let the battle commence on Wii with Super Smash Bros. Brawl! -Nintendo
