Scottish Opera Education’s latest opera for youngsters is an environmentally aware tale told entirely through song, using puppetry, dance, and film animation.
The show will hit the road alongside Scottish Opera’s Falstaff and A Night at the Chinese Opera in June and this year, for the first time, performances will be open to the public at venues around Scotland as well as being performed in schools.
This very intimate opera tells the story of Bubble, a young girl living happily on a Scottish island with her dad - madcap inventor Barnacle McBea.
As Bubble’s adventure unravels she learns many new things about her past and the variety of life under the sea. Bubble soon begins to understand how little mistakes can cause BIG problems – and along the way she learns all about energy: how it is made and, most importantly, how it can be conserved.
Designed to help the youngest members of our society find out more about the natural world that surrounds them, Bubble McBea is full of fishy fun - perfect for families with fins and without…
Ticket prices include a CD of songs to learn before coming to see the show - so there's no excuse for adults and kids not to join in!
