TMZ reports that TV Pitchman Billy Mays was found dead early this morning in his Tampa, Florida Home.
According to Tampa police, Billy Mays' wife, Deborah Mays, found her husband unresponsive at about 7:45 a.m.
TMZ reports that Billy Mays, 50, best known for his passionate and loud TV pitches for such products as "OxiClean" and "Mighty Putty," had just returned last night from Philidelphia where he was shooting another commercial for OxiClean.
It appears the airplane Billy Mays was on suffered a blown tire upon landing. Mays told a local television station "[a]ll of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
Whether or not this had anything to do with Billy May's death is unknown at this time. The Medical Examiner's office is expected to begin an autopsy on May's body tomorrow afternoon.
At this time, police do not suspect any foul play surrounding Billy May's death as there were no signs of forced entry into the home. More information is certain to come as the investigation into Billy Mays' death begin to unfold.
