
After two interviews, Los Angeles Police Department investigators find no evidence that Michael Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, committed a crime.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, Michael Jackson's doctor who with the singer at the time of his death, has been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing by the LAPD at this time after two interviews failed to result in any evidence that the Dr. Murray a crime as it relates to the circumstances surrounding Michael Jackson's death.
A source, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the ongoing investigation, told the Times there was "no red flag" and "no smoking gun" revealed in the interview to suggest criminal wrongdoing or the possible cause of death.
In an interview conducted Saturday, investigators questioned Dr. Murrary about the events leading up to and after Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest, as well as, the singers recently-reported prescription drug use as the investigation focuses on whether the singer overdosed. However, after three hours of questioning, Dr. Conrad Robert Murray is not suspected of any criminal wrongdoing.
After the interview, the law firm hired to represent Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, issued the following statement: Dr. Murray is "considered to be a witness to the events surrounding Michael Jackson's death." The firm said Murray answered "every and all" questions posed by LAPD investigators and "clarified some inconsistencies."
