Steve McNair Death A Murder Suicide

CNN reports that as the investigation into the death of Steve McNair continues, a medical examiner says all evidence points to a murder suicide carried out by his girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi.

Dr. Feng Li, the assistant medical examiner who has been handling the Steve McNair killing said "based on the scene investigation, police interviews, autopsy results and the preliminary lab studies, this is pointed to the direction of murder-suicide."

Dr. Li went on to add that all evidence was "indicating that she killed Mr. McNair and killed herself."

Steve McNair, the former Tennessee Titan, was found shot twice in the head and twice in the chest on Saturday afternoon in a condominium in Nashville, Tennessee. Also dead in the condominium was 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, who was found lying face down with a shot through her right temple and a gun underneath her body.

Steve McNair's death was immediately classified a homicide. Earlier this week, police investigators determined that the gun found at the scene was purchased by Kazemi hours after she was charged with driving under the influence while driving with McNair in the Cadillac Escalade he purchased for her.

Today's statement that Steve McNair was killed in a murder suicide only seems to confirm what police have believed all along. Dr. Li is 95% sure of his findings, saying "It's almost an assured thing. We have to be convinced otherwise."
