Michael Douglas' Son Cameron Douglas Arrested for Meth

Cameron Douglas has been arrested. The son of Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas, was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials on suspicion of methamphetamine distribution in a Manhattan hotel.

Cameron Douglas' arrest took place at on July 28 at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan. According to sources speaking on the condition of anonymity, Cameron Douglas arrest was the result of an undercover operation conducted by the DEA.

At the time of his arrest, it is being reported that Cameron Douglas was in possession of approximately half a pound of crystal meth. He is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Cameron Douglas, 30, has been arrested on drug related charges. In 2007, he was arrested on cocaine possession charges in California.

If the DEA is involved, it is safe to assume the investigation into the meth distribution does not start and finish with Cameron Douglas' arrest. Most likely, Cameron Douglas' arrest is part of a much bigger investigation as federal authorities are always looking climb the ladder, so to speak, and take down whoever is running the show.
