Lynette Squeaky Fromme Released on Parole

Lynnette "Squeaky" Fromme, the longtime Charles Manson follower convicted for pointing a gun at former President Gerald Ford, has been granted parole and is scheduled to be released after 34 years in prison.

In 1975, Lynnette Squeaky Fromme was convicted for pointing a gun at former President Gerald Ford in Sacramento and sentenced to life in prison. Squeaky Fromme became eligible for parole in 1985 but, rumor has it, she waived her right to her parole hearing every year.

Now, after 34 years, Lynnette Squeaky Fromme is being granted parole and will be released on August 16 from the Federal Medical Center at Carswell, Texas.

In addition to almost killing former President Ford, Lynnette Squeaky Fromme is just as famous, if not more, for her continued love and admiration for convicted cult leader Charles Manson. Fromme for years has remained a follower of Mason's and part of the "Manson Family."

While Lynnette Squeaky Fromme was not present for the famous Sharon Tate murders in August of 1969 that ultimately landed Manson and many of his followers in prison, she has always maintained her devotion to Charles Manson and the Manson family.
