What are the odds that a wrong number call leads to love and sex? Not good. Unfortunately, for Andre Hayes, he found out the hard way as he was seduced by Tiffany Reaves who pretended to call his number in error only to seduce and eventually kill him so he couldn't testify against her boyfriend as the key witness in a federal drug case. Tiffany Reaves has been charged with federal obstruction of justice by killing a witness.
Tiffany Reaves, 30, is the girlfriend of Weldon Gordon. Gordon was indicted on federal drug charges as a result of undercover purchases made by Andre Hayes who was working on behalf of federal investigators. Naturally, Andre Hayes would be the key witness in the case against Weldon.
So what would you do for love? For Tiffany Reaves, the answer was simple. Seduce and kill the key witness against my boyfriend.
About a week before Andre Hayes' death, Tiffany Reaves called Hayes pretending to have dialed the wrong number. Instead of immediately hanging up, Tiffany Reaves started flirting with Andre Hayes telling him that he sounded nice. Thus began the plot to kill the key witness against her boyfriend.
Over the course of the next week there were more phone calls and hundreds of text messages between Tiffany Reaves and Andre Hayes. Eventually, the two would arrange to meet.
On Holloween night, Andre Hayes left to meet his wrong number rendezvous. On his way to the meeting, the two talked for 29 minutes on the phone. When Andre Hayes arrived, Tiffany Reaves shot and killed the key witness against her boyfriend with 9mm handgun.
It was all too good to be true for Andre Hayes. The fact is, no one is that lucky in love. As for Tiffany Reaves, she has plead not guilty to federal charges of conspiring to obstruct justice by killing a witness.
