If you will recall, Cameron Douglas was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials on suspicion of methamphetamine distribution in a Manhattan hotel on July 28. As a result of that arrest, Cameron Douglas was forced to endure house arrest at his mom Diandra's $9.25 million townhouse. (Sarcasm added)
Apparently, the usual creature comforts weren't enough for young Cameron Douglas and his girlfriend, Kelly Sott, couldn't bear to see him suffer any longer. So Sott allegedly attempted to smuggle heroin to her boyfriend by stuffing 19 bags of it inside the battery compartment of an electric toothbrush.
When she arrived at Cameron Douglas's house arrest home, a private security got suspicious about the special delivery toothbrush. According to court documents, the guard had overheard Douglas talking on the phone about having someone bring him a toothbrush despite just getting a new one a few days earlier.
Kelly Sott, 31, was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration agents on Tuesday at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan, which is the same hotel where Cameron Douglas was arrested. Inside Sott's room, investigators found heroin, crystal meth and marijuana in her room.
Oh, the things we do for love. (See also Tiffany Reaves Seduces Key Witness to Death) For her alleged toothbrush heroin smuggling efforts, Kelly Sott, is being held without bail. Furthermore, a federal magistrate ordered immediate treatment for heroin addiction and hypertension.
