Bernard Madoff is dying of cancer. At least that is what the world's biggest ponzi schemer is telling his fellow inmates at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina where Bernard Madoff is serving his 150 year prison sentence for perpetrating a massive mult-billion dollar ponzi scheme that United States District Judge Denny Chin called an "extraordinary evil" during sentencing.

According to Fox News, Bernard Madoff didn't just happen to mention that he is dying from pancreatic cancer, he won't stop talking about it to other inmates.

One inmate says that Madoff has been taking about 20 pills a day for his cancer," one inmate told the newspaper. "He talks about it all the time. He's not doing very well."

Even though it was widely speculated that pancreatic cancer was the reason Bernard Madoff ultimately decided to take full responsibility for fraud scheme, neither his criminal defense lawyer nor his wife will confirm or deny whether or not Madoff does, in fact, have cancer and that he is dying from it.

So at this point, it would appear that the only evidence we have to confirm his claim that he is dying of cancer is the word of Bernard Madoff, himself. The word of the man who masterminded one of the largest fraud schemes in United States history. Huh?

For all we know, Bernard Madoff may very well be dying from pancreatic cancer. For that matter, I can't really see a reason why Bernard Madoff would even make up such a claim at this point. Nonetheless, given the source, I think I'll hold out for something a little more credible. Forgive me if I come across as insensitive.
