Actor Randy Quaid and Wife Arrested in Texas

The arrests of Randy and Evi Quaid were set into motion when felony arrest warrants were issued out of Santa Barbara, California, for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy for allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill from the San Ysidro Ranch.

Law enforcement authorities with the Presidio County Sheriff's Department executed the arrests of Randy and Evi Quaid in the small town Marfa, Texas. However, the Quaids did not go quietly as sheriff's deputies struggled to control them.

Reports out of Texas indicate that Evi Quaid screamed loudly and had to be wrestled to the ground during her arrest while Randy Quaid physically and verbally assaulted Texas authorities during his arrest. Resisting arrest charges will not be filed against Randy Quaid at this time.

Both Randy and Evi Quaid were booked had bail set in the amount of $20,000. Santa Barbara Sheriff's officials are seeking to have the Quaids extradited to California to face charges.
