Apparently, Maria Shriver is a habitual violator of California's hand held cell phone use while driving law. TMZ, which videotaped Maria Shriver in Brentwood yesterday, also has photos of Maria Shriver using her cell phone while driving from October 11, 2009 and July 12, 2009.
California's law against hand held cell phone use while driving took effect on July 1, 2008. Under California Vehicle Code Sections 23123 and 23124, using a cell phone while driving without a hands free and/or bluetooth device is absolutely prohibited.
TMZ wasted no time in letting Arnold Schwarzenegger know that he shares a bed with the cell phone law breaker. Gov. Schwarzenegger immediately hit up the Twitter and tweeted the head of TMZ, Harvey Levin, promising to take immediate action against his wife, Maria Shriver.
"Thanks for bringing her violations to my attention. There's going to be swift action."
If Maria Shriver had actually been cited by a police officer for her multiple violations of California's hand held cell phone use while driving law, she would have had to pay fines in the amount of $20 for the first violation and $50 for any subsequent violations.
At the rate Maria Shriver is going, the state may be able to get out the its budget crises on her hand held cell phone violations alone. It's not like she can't afford the bluetooth.
