A hot air balloon is flying out of control through the skies of Colorado with a 6-year-old boy trapped alone inside. Efforts to try and save the 6-year-old boy are underway, as the Colorado hot air ballon continues to race through the sky.

What started as a family project experiment has developed into a potentially tragic situation as an experiment involving an aircraft attached to a helium hot-air balloon went horribly wrong today. Reports indicate that the son of the hot air balloons' creator is the boy that is trapped inside the hot air balloon as it races over the skies Weld County Colorado.

The Colorado hot air balloon is traveling at a high rate of speed and can potentially reach an altitude of 10,000 feet which brings in to question whether the trapped 6-year-old boy is having trouble breathing given the high altitude of the hot air balloon. Anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 feet people can often experience symptoms of altitude sickness such as nausea. However, above 10,000 feet is when people can begin to have real trouble breathing due to lack of oxygen.

The greatest concern with the Colorado hot air balloon is how to land it safely without injuring the trapped 6-year-old boy. The FAA has been alerted to the situation, but do to the unusual nature of the problem, authorities are scrambling for a solution to save the young boy.
