The Richmond High School gang rape occurred Saturday night at around 9:30 p.m. when the 15-year-old female victim left the school's homecoming dance to wait for a ride home from her father. Before her father arrived, a male student she knew took her to a dark alley behind one of the school's buildings where six other males began brutally raping and beating the young girl.

The Richmond High School gang rape lasted an astonishing two and a half hours. In that time, dozens of witnesses saw what was happening and none of them bothered to call the police, notify school officials or tell anyone for that matter.

Police were finally called about the Richmond High School gang rape after a girl overheard people talking about the sexual assault and called 911. The entire time the 15-year-old girl was being raped and beaten, her father was looking for her.

A 19-year-old former Richmond High School student and a 15-year-old current Richmond High School student have been arrested on rape, robbery and kidnapping charges in connection with the Richmond High School attack.
