According to law enforcement sources, LAPD officers received a domestic violence call about "drunk people arguing" at the Hollywood home of Paris Hilton.
Witnesses reported seeing Paris Hilton standing in her driveway yelling "Don't go, don't go!" at her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, as he was getting into his car. Reinhardt then got out of his car and the two started shoving each other in the driveway.
LAPD officers arrived on scene at spoke with Paris Hilton before leaving. Paris and Doug then walked back up the driveway into the house. No one was arrested for domestic violence as a result of the incident.
This is where celebrity truly has its privileges. Generally, if police are called out to home on a domestic violence call, someone is going to jail. Police are not there to manage relationships, but rather, protect the public.
Domestic violence comes in many forms and, certainly, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt shoving each other in the driveway would qualify. Odds are that if this incident occurred between a regular couple (not celebrities), someone would be going to jail.
