The country singer was seen in public recently wearing a t-shirt that reads, “Real Girls Eat Meat” emblazoned across her chest. Let’s see, a celebrity that believes in slaughtering animals - she’s really hung herself out there for some serious flack. Actually, a Simpson family source said that her shirt has nothing to do with her love for steaks, but is really a plain out and out cut at vegetarian Carrie Underwood, who once dated Simpson’s current boyfriend NFL Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo.

This story would not be complete without a message to Jessica from animal rights group Peta, who by the way named Underwood ‘World’s Sexiest Vegetarian‘ not just once, but twice. Peta told OK!:

"Jessica Simpson’s meaty wardrobe malfunction makes us thankful that no one is looking to her for food advice. Chicken-of-the-Sea anyone? The woman who thought that Buffalo ‘Wings’ came from buffalo would benefit from some good veggie brain food."

Whether Jessica loves or hates meat is beside the point in my book. It’s obviously a personal decision, but….to wear such a shirt in public knowing it will appear in every magazine and on a multitude of websites is just plain crazy.
