TAVOUSH, Armenia (ArmRadio)--Azerbaijani border guards Wednesday evening shot dead another resident of the Armenian border village of Chinar, reported the Armenian Defense Ministry on Thursday.

The murder of 50-year-old Rafik Soghoyan comes hours after Azeri border guards shot and fatally wounded another Armenian farmer, Levon Petrosyan. Petroysan was shot and fatally wounded early Wednesday morning while tilling his field. He died along the way to the hospital.

According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, both Tuesday's and Wednesday's shootings were unprovoked and intentional.

Chinar is located in the country's northeastern province of Tavoush, which borders Azerbaijan and is frequently battered by unprovoked fire from Azeri troops stationed across the border.

In the evening of June 18 the rival intentionally opened fire on resident of the Chinar village in Tavoush marz Rafik Soghoyan, born in 1958, when the latter was doing agricultural works. Rafik Soghoyan died of the wound, Press Service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
