Casio America, Inc. announced today the release of four new projector models featuring DLP® projection technology that are targeted towards installed projector applications.

Building on the success of the current Super Slim line, these new models feature RS-232 connectivity while still incorporating a thin body design. The XJ-SC200 series boasts “Casio’s Super Colorä” Technology and the XJ-S50 “Casio’s Super Brightä” series is designed for high brightness applications. The new Pro-Series Super Slim Projectors will be on display at Casio’s Booth # C1140 at the InfoComm Show that opened today in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Two new models, XJ-SC210 and XJ-SC215, have been further refined by Casio’s high-fidelity color-rendering enhancements. This new series is intended for applications where color accuracy is most important. With a high brightness of 2500 lumens, this line targets presentations that require best colorimitry. The XJ-SC200 series features enhanced color technology whereby the chromaticity region has been expanded approximately 10% over current Super Slim models. This is achieved by adopting a high-fidelity color-rendering light engine algorithm and improved color wheel.

”The enhancement in color maintains white rendering, with improved yellows and magentas that are more naturally reproduced, with vivid reds and blues for a more color- accurate image,” stated Frank Romeo, Vice President of Business Products. “This series takes the Super Slim line to even greater heights!”

While maintaining the industries slimmest projector, Casio has now achieved 3000 ANSI lumens output. This brightness improvement and versatile 2X power zoom lens allows the Super Slim XJ-S50 series to be used in Board Room, Conference, or Classroom where brightness is an important feature The models included in the Super Bright series are the XJ-S57 with USB and XJ-S52.

These new models will also support connectivity for control through RS-232 and will be compatible with Crestron, Extron, and AMX products. This added feature, along with the flexibility of 2X power zoom lens and Super Slim design make it highly attractive for low profile placement in any room.

The XJ-SC215 and XJ-S57 will include a USB port for wireless connectivity through an optional WiFi receiver allowing for expanded connectivity in the conference room for notebooks and allows up to four PC’s to connect at a time.

For portable applications the USB port also supports *PC-less presentations with your USB thumb drive, through Casio’s EZ-Converter Pro software you can convert and present, spreadsheets, word processor and presentations including PDF, JPEG, BMP and video (AVI format: MPEG4 standard/Motion JPEG) files.

All models are equipped with wide-angle 2X power zoom providing the highest magnification in a data projector, enabling projection from short distances of 2.8 feet and reaches a total of 30 feet. Boasting the world’s thinnest body, Casio’s Super Slim measures only 1.26” at its thinnest point with an overall thickness of 1.69”.

The Super Color and Super Bright models will debut at INFOCOMM ’08 and have a planned launch date of August ’08 and available through Casio’s authorized AV Dealers.

Planned pricing will start from $1,299 - $1,599 MSRP . -Casio USA
