Bibi, Sarkozy differ over Jerusalem

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France says as long as the Middle East conflict is unresolved, it will continue to fuel world terror.

Speaking at an economic conference in Jerusalem, the French leader said that if peace is achieved, there will be no more terror.

Sarkozy met in Jerusalem with opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu (Likud). Netanyahu told him that Jerusalem will not be divided, it will remain the eternal captal of Israel. A Kol Yisrael reporter says Netanyahu was responding to Sarkozy's comments that Jerusalem must be the capital of Israel and a Palestinian state.

According to Netanyahu, only Israeli control over the entire city will ensure religious freedom for all. Netanyahu also said that implementation of joint Israeli-Palesitnain economic venture will advance the political process. The two also discussed the Iranian threat.
