Richard Prince is one of the most innovative and influential artists of our time and can be variously described as a painter, photographer, sculptor and collector. His work makes use of an eclectic range of approaches to explore his fascination with Americana, pop culture, art, literature and language.
Following on from the Guggenheim exhibition, Spiritual America, Prince has conceived an exhibition especially for the Serpentine Gallery, featuring a selection of his most iconic works as well as several new sculptures.
Presented by the Serpentine Gallery in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the exhibition will be on view June 26 through September 7, 2008. -- www.gagosian.com
