Carpenter Moore, a wholly owned subsidiary of The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), today announced it has been ranked the number one directors and officers (D&O) insurance broker for public companies, according to the latest annual survey by a leading professional services organization.
The Towers Perrin Directors and Officers Liability Survey, now in its 30th year, also recognized Carpenter Moore as the leading D&O broker in three other categories: asset size from $400 million to $1 billion, $2 billion to $5 billion, and $5 billion to $10 billion.
This is the eighth straight year that Towers Perrin has ranked Carpenter Moore among the top D&O brokers in their survey. The 2007 survey marks the first time Towers Perrin has ranked brokers for the public companies participating in the survey. According to Towers Perrin, some 2,927 companies, including 669 public companies, participated in the 2007 survey.
"Carpenter Moore's leadership among D&O brokers reflects our unique consultative approach and commitment to finding the right type of insurance at competitive rates for our clients," said Ralph Semeraro, President of Carpenter Moore. "Our long-term relationships with all leading executive liability carriers have allowed us to support public companies in an increasingly challenging litigation environment that applies to all major industries."
