Hartford Symphony Celebrates America

In keeping with the Talcott Mountain Music Festival's annual red-white-and-blue tradition, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents Celebrate America! on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows.

Led by Hartford Symphony Music Director Edward Cumming, these concerts will feature favorites including selections from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, Aaron Copland's ballet Rodeo, and Richard Rodgers' musical The Sound of Music. The traditional performance of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and John Philip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever will conclude the concerts. As a special encore to the patriotic musical programs, a fireworks spectacular sponsored by Paine's Inc. (conditions permitting) will send the Hartford Symphony's Celebrate America! concerts out with a bang. (See full program information below).

The Celebrate America! concerts are made possible by sponsorship from the Hilton Hartford Hotel. The Talcott Mountain Music Festival is presented by Chubb.
