There is not much to say about this match except traditionally Venus’ main opponent has been herself. Today, she held herself together and kept the unforced errors to a minimum. V. Williams restrained her excitement after winning her 6th and final game in the 2nd set.
I sometimes wonder if Venus and Serena hold two straws before their match to decide which sister gets to win. But seriously, congratulations to the Williams sisters. I’m sure their Mom and Dad will have to see-saw between joy and sorrow.

In 2007, Williams teamed with retailer Steve & Barry's to launch her own fashion line EleVen. "I love fashion and the idea that I am using my design education to actually create clothing and footwear that I will wear on and off the tennis court is a dream come true for me. The vision has been to create a collection that will allow women to enjoy an active lifestyle while remaining fashionable at the same time. I'm thrilled with everything we've created to launch EleVen."

Congratulations on winning Wimbledon #5
Dear Venus Ebony Williams,
My heartfelt thanks to you on your tremendous win. You deserve it and much more. I think you have been extremely gracious to your sister, who does not deserve all that you have sacrificed for her. She would not have done the same for you I am sure. I am hoping that you will start thinking of Venus and what is best for her. You are so talented in so many ways and on the tennis courts is one of those where you shine brightly. I know that the commentators and everyone else always focus on your sister Serena, but you deserve praise too. I am one that has always believed in you and support you 100%. Continue to hold your head high and be proud of yourself.
Your number one fan,
Mrs. C.W.Roddy
