Official: Azerbaijan's attempts endanger negotiating process

The Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian noted that Azebaijan's attempts to present its stance as the opinion accepted by the international community cause serious damage and endangers the negotiation process.

”I think that the attitude of the Co-Chairs and the international community found its expression during the March 14 voting on the resolution presented to the UN by Azerbaijan, when the Minsk Group Co-Chairs voted against the document, and the majority of the countries of the world, including all members of the European Union, refused to support the initiative, i.e. abstained from voting because the resolution was unilateral, it prioritized the territorial integrity, ignoring the right of nations for self-determination.

"Today the negotiations proceed on the basis of the OSCE basic documents and principles: Article 2 of the Helsinki Final Act on non-application of force, Article 4 on territorial integrity and Article 8, which promulgates the right for self-determination,” RA Foreign Minister stated.
