The Nader/Gonzalez campaign has a message for North Carolinians!

Obama and McCain, Democrat and Republican, represent the status quo, business as usual.

And what's the status quo?

The status quo gave you NAFTA, resulting in the drastic loss of textile and furniture industry jobs and the toxic pollution left behind.

The status quo gave you one of the lowest unionization rates in the nation yielding generally low wages, a 15 percent poverty rate and poor treatment of workers at companies like Smithfield.

The Nader/Gonzalez Campaign offers you something new and different--actual solutions to real problems--like a living wage; repeal of the anti-union Taft-Hartley Act; and, a single-payer, Canadian-style, private delivery, free-choice public health insurance system for all.

The Nader/Gonzalez Campaign proposes to put people back to work by cutting the wasteful, bloated military budget and redirecting that money into a "Marshall Plan" to rebuild our crumbling public infrastructure. They also propose a jobs-creating no-nuke, solar-based energy policy supported by renewable, sustainable, energy-efficient sources.

This November North Carolinians will have a choice: the status quo parties of Obama and McCain or the Nader/Gonzalez ticket that promises to "Shift the Power" from big business corporations to "We The People!"

Obama and McCain offer business as usual: the continuation of the war in Iraq, the threat of war in Iran, and support of the extreme militarists in Israel. Nader/Gonzalez propose a rapid withdrawal of troops from Iraq and a two-state peace solution based on the accords of the Israeli and Palestinian peace movements.

While Obama/McCain cater to the powerful corporate interests that fund their campaigns, Nader/Gonzalez propose a crack down on corporate welfare giveaways and corporate crime that has resulted in millions losing pensions, savings, jobs and a huge squandering of your tax dollars.

Yet the status quo parties would deny you this choice. While Nader/Gonzalez favors one fair federal standard for federal ballot access in all of the states, the status quo parties have made North Carolina one of the most difficult states in country for an independent presidential candidate to gain ballot status. North Carolina law requires more than 69,345 registered voters' signatures. Five Hundred valid signatures are required just to have the state count write-in votes.

The Nader/Gonzalez Campaign addresses these and other issues Obama and McCain have taken "off the table." For a full list of "on the table" topics see: VoteNader.org

Only Ralph Nader is pressing the candidates on problems that matter to all Tar Heels and taking plenty of flack for his gutsy stands. Get over to see and hear this guy.
