A true master of observational comedy with a warm and engaging rapport with the audience, Jason started his comedy career as a lowly glass collector in Manchester's longest running comedy club The Buzz. When a stand up act didn't turn up one night, Jason offered to step in and gave a very promising set in front of a very demanding audience.
Jason then went on to scoop the North West comedian of the year title in 1999 and a year later he won the Leicester Mercury comedian of the year. He made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2005 with Urban Legend - a show that was nominated for the main Perrier award. The following year he won the Chortle award for best breakthrough act.
Jason now has a strong and original set with wry observations. He has a genuine respect for the comedy greats and is loved by fellow comedians Johnny Vegas and Peter Kay. He has appeared in Channel 4's Shameless and BBC1's Cutting It and can currently be seen on Channel 4 on Friday nights at 10pm in the new series of the smash-hit comedy panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats. -- www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk
