The media had reports that Amtek Auto Ltd may acquire Frankfurt-based KSM casting, a supplier of light metal casting products for the automotive industry, for a deal size of around $ 250 million.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Amtek Auto Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We are looking at various acquisition targets but nothing has been finalized as yet. As far as the report in the media is concerned, the company does not comment on the rumours and speculative market reports."
