Highlights - June 2008
* Real time data terminals are up 16% on the same period last year with 10,879 terminals worldwide.
* Total Capital raised has passed $2 billion with a breakdown of $384 million equity and $1.68 billion in debt.
* There was $219 million of capital raised in June with a breakdown of $59 million equity and $160 million of debt.
* Total debt raised year to date is up 45% on the same period in 2007.
* The NZDX Market Capitalisation is up 38% on the same period last year. Total value traded on the NZDX Market was up 12% in June.
Trading
* Total number of trades was 50,805, a 3% decrease on the same period last year.
* Average daily trades were 2,540, a 3% decrease on the same period last year.
* Total value traded in June 2008 was $ 2.58 billion, an 11% decrease on the same period last year. Average daily value traded was $129 million.
* Total number of trades for the NZSX Market was 47,946 for June 2008, a 2% decrease on the same period last year. Total value traded on the NZSX Market was $2.4 billion for June 2008, a 13% decrease on the same period last year.
* Total number of trades for the NZAX Market was 289 for June 2008 . Total value traded on the NZAX Market was $1 million.
* Total number of trades for the NZDX Market was 2,570 for June 2008 . Total value traded on the NZDX Market was $181 million.
Capital Raised
* Total capital raised in June 2008 was $219 million.
* New equity raised in June 2008 was $59 million and new debt raised was $160 million.
Other
* Number of NZX Market Data terminals has increased 16% to 10,879.
* The total number of instalment warrants trades in June 2008 was 863, an 8% decrease on the same period last year. Total value traded for instalment warrants for June 2008 was $3 million.
