Liversedge has almost 40 years experience in the region and this has allowed him to capture unparalleled detail of the natural behaviour of lions"Å¡ their prey and the wide array of life which congregates at the only water source for 100 miles.
"The lions were so close at times that they brushed my tripod and used me and my camera as cover to hide behind and get closer to their prey"Å¡"Â said Liversedge.
The film follows a challenge to the lion king's supremacy. At stake is a valuable waterhole deep in Botswana's Kalahari desert"Å¡ a precious pool of water in a stark and dry land. Here the lion king reigns with two lionesses and his litter of cubs"Å¡ all of whose fate lies in the outcome of this titanic struggle between two Kalahari giants.
From elephants to springboks Lions 3D uses stunning 3D visuals to bring audiences face to face with all of the animals who play a role in this drama. They are taken straight to the heart of the African wilderness where the desert dust appears to be blown into their laps and the lion king's thunderous roar - one of the loudest sounds in nature - literally shakes their seats.
Balancing suspense and action with a strong storyline and breakthrough cinematography"Å¡ Lions 3D will take cinema-goers of all ages on a breathtaking and enlightening journey across the Kalahari. -- www.sciencemuseum.org.uk
