Your favorite backyard trampoline is fun equipment for all. This fun backyard equipment consists of four main parts excluding other accessories that you might have put. These four comprise of trampoline frame, trampoline mat often called bed, trampoline safety pad and trampoline springs.
The trampoline frame is the steel frame on which the whole setup resides. This being the most important part of your trampoline setup should be galvanized both sides to stay protected from the weather attack. Its material, generally steel should be of the thickness of around 1.5-2 mm. Heavy frames are always better to opt for as trampoline frame has to take all the weight.
The Trampoline mat/bed is the big black (colored options are available though) surface over which the jumper jumps. The strongness of this is really important, as this hold the jumper and provides bounce to the jumps. They provide a measure of safety as they pull the jumper towards the centre. These are available as a replacement for your trampoline at many of the online stores.
The trampoline springs, another important part that are there to attach the mat/bed with the trampoline frame. Any loosened or broken spring can not only ruin the jumping experience but can also be pretty unsafe for the jumper. Trampoline springs, ideally should be galvanized to stay protected of rust.
Trampoline safety pads, as the name suggests are there for the safety. They are meant for covering the spring’s surface, i.e. the area between mat and frame. Their purpose is to protect the jumper from falling over or through the springs. These not only protect the jumper from various injuries but also help locating the center of the trampoline while making a high jump.
