AP already calls the "The Brangelina twins," refering to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt babies.
AP reports.
The obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michel Sussmann, told The Associated Press that the actress, the babies and Jolie's partner, actor Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."
Sussmann said Jolie gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarian section on Saturday night.
He told the AP on Sunday morning that the boy weighed 5.03 pounds and the girl 5 pounds.
Pitt was there during the operation, said the doctor, who delivered the twins at the seaside Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France.
"Everything is going well," said Sussmann. "The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well."
AFP confirms from Los Angeles on Angelinea Jolie twins writing "Maybe few expected the made-in-Hollywood romance between former wild child Angelina Jolie and heartthrob Brad Pitt to last, but three years on, new twins have made them proud parents of six kids."
In May 2006 Jolie gave birth to daughter Shiloh in Namibia, where the couple found fairly isolated privacy; it was not exactly the chateau on the French Riviera where she awaited the birth of the twins, after a high-profile publicity stint at the Cannes film festival.
Jolie and Pitt are phenomenally wealthy, attractive and obviously love being parents. In March they also were honored as the most generous celebrities in their philanthropic work.
