This news does not at all get into my mind. CNN reports that the men were homeless, writing that "Two women, 77 and 75, sentenced to life without parole for murdering two indigent men in Los Angeles to collect life insurance."

According to AP the women's names were 77-year-old Helen Golay and 75-year-old Olga Rutterschmidt. Before this was uncovered the women had collected 2.8 million dollars in life insurance.

AP reports that "The judge denounced the women for their greed, saying the men they killed needed only food, water and shelter, and thought they were going to get a helping hand from the women."
