Avatar: The Last Airbender (also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang in several countries) is an Emmy award-winning American animated television series that airs on the Nickelodeon television network and on Nicktoons Network. We're still in the middle of season three. Last episode broadcast in America was the two parter "day of black sun". But the following two episodes are out on the net at the website below.
The rest of the season should continue shortly with Avatar Season 4 starting next sept/oct.

However, if there is a fourth season, it will likely follow a different storyline other than the Fire Lord and Fire Nation trying to take over the world, as both Nick executives and the co-creators have said season three will be when Aang faces the Fire Lord."
The Avatar Season 4 is set in an Asian-influenced world of martial arts and elemental manipulation; the series follows the adventures of Aang and his friends, who try to save the world from war with the Fire Nation. The show's protagonist Aang is trapped in an iceberg when he is found by two members of the Southern Water Tribe, Katara and Sokka. After being freed from the iceberg, Katara and Sokka join Aang on a long journey across the globe; their ultimate goal is to help Aang acquire the skills to defeat the Fire Lord and end the war.[4] In the series' terminology, each episode is referred to as a "chapter", and each season as a "book."
It made its debut on February 21, 2005, and the last episodes were screened on July 19, 2008; it is now available on DVD, the iTunes Store, and the Xbox Live Marketplace, as well as its home on Nickelodeon. Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko co-created the series, and serve as executive producers alongside Aaron Ehasz. Avatar: The Last Airbender is popular with both audiences and critics, garnering 4.4 million viewers on its best-rated showing and receiving high ratings in the Nicktoons lineup, even outside its 6–11-year-old demographic. The series' success prompted Nickelodeon to order second and third[9] seasons. Merchandise based on the series include scaled action figures, a trading card game, three video games based on the first, second, and third seasons, stuffed animals distributed by Paramount Parks, and two LEGO sets.

Wikipedia is written by anyone, so you really don't know how credible it is. As for blogs, that's purely just fans posting what they think they know or want to happen. I highly doubt there will be a season 4 since it said "The End". However, Avatar: The Last Airbender was a big hit for nickelodeon and so we shall see what the creators decide to do. I know that they are making a movie called "The Last Airbender" directed, written, and produced by Shyamalan. I really do not like him because of...well all of the above. All of his movies turned out horrible, other than The Sixth Sense. Signs, Lady in the Water, The Village.....It was all garbage. And The Happening was about killer bees. What worries me is that "The Last Airbender" would be in the same "magical" category as "Lady in the Water". I have personally watched the whole movie, but it was hard to do. There are seriously no special effects and the movie doesn't take place beyond an apartment building. The camera angles looked like a monkey was on the job, and I'm sure the actors/actresses are good, but the things they were made to do made them look bad.
I really hope that the avatar movie does not turn out like the other movies. However, this is very unlikely because Shyamalan will be directing, writing, and producing the film. This is stupid because it gives him too much independence in making the movie. Nobody can tell him how to make or change it. This will ruin everyones dream that watched the TV series.

I think you could be right but the way that Shyamalan directs,writes,and produces is what he loves to do. It's okay that you have your opinion on Shyamalan but what he does is what he does.

its such a shame shyamalan has been given the boon of making the films i imagine they will be such a disappointment, hope im wrong though. spielburg would have been a better choice. there maybe no season four but i hope the producers at some point dream up new adventures for aang, this is one of, if not the most enlightening series ever to be produced for kids and adults alike and how it delivers its message is so good.so for the good of the world hope shyamalan retires, and avatar inspiration continues

I would love another season of Avatar, and I am really looking forward to the movies BECAUSE Shyamalan is doing them. The only reason his movies don't do well is because everyone wants the same thing over and over and over from him. In The Village, people wanted the aliens to be real, in the Lady in the Water, they wanted it to be more scarier (IT WAS A FLIPPING BED TIME STORY FOR GOD'S SAKE.) And in the Village, he finally does what people wanted him to do, and they hated even more. Sheesh, I really hope he does what HE wants for these. And I really hope he doesn't listen to all you two dimensional people with no imagination for anything different than what you've already seen.

Thank god. I thought that I was the only one who felt like there were so many unanswered questions. I really and truely hope that they make a new season or perhaps even a new series where Aang is a bit older, kind of like what they did with Naruto. That would be awesome...but it's just an idea.

that movie sucked so bad. You were totally right and i never knew he made them movies. he did it short and the actors/actresses said the names of the characters wrong. the firebenders needed a fire source in order too bend and that is not true. the viewers that were not fan must've liked it because they didn't know, but the fans of the series all said it sucked. well the people i know that liked it so i give you props for actually finding out all this information.

You are correct !!!! The movie is so wrong !! I know I'm just a 13 year old girl but I am a BIG fan of the Avatar series . The movie says their names wrong such as Aang & Avatar ! How can they not pronounce Avatar ? I also did not like that the actors do not look like the characters from the show ! Also Sokka & Aang aren't even funny, but stiff and tense. Is Aang even in love with Katara in the movie ?!
And the movie is only based on book one, which is just water. They don't even show Toph !
If I would have the choice to make the movie up again, I would !

In my honest opinion I thought that the WHOLE movie was terrible, every part of it, I honestly think that the movie should have been directed by some one else, if there was a 2nd movie they should give out a different director.

i wish that there would be a 4th season because they left a lot of lose ends like zuko's mother, and how the would still isnt in total balance because there are no airbenders besides aang, and because of this the avatar cycle would soon stop because there isnt any way for and airbender to be born as the airbender.

wrong. when aang has kids his kids will be most likely to be airbenders. but it says that he will marry katara so his kids may have air and waterbending skills scinse he his the avatar. does that help you. and for zuko he does find his mother because i heard that the creators are trying to make a story line for it. but lets hope by septembef/ october/ november or december seaason 4 will come out. i heard thats around the time MAYBE the new season will come out.

Well I see that the post date for this article is 7/20/2008. Where do you get your information? The reason I ask, is because if you actually followed the show, or watched any Nickelodeon show and watched the commercials that aired, you would have told us that the Season 3 Finale aired last night after a week of Avatar Marathons and the last few nights leading up to the finale avatar aired the rest of the episodes leading up to the finale. Just thought it worth mentioning.
