UTI May Sell Stake In Axis Bank

The media had reports that the special undertaking of UTI (SUUTI) may sell around 17 per cent of its stake in Axis Bank.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Axis Bank Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The Bank has not received any communication from the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI) in the matter." -- www.nseindia.com
