Great Company: Portraits By European Masters

A selection of portraits and sculpture by European masters dating from the Renaissance to the 20th century will grace the Coolidge Gallery in the Upper Hemicycle at the MFA in the special installation, Great Company: Portraits by European Masters. This display includes six paintings and two sculptures, representing some of the finest European works from the MFA’s collection.

Great Company is one of three installations to debut in celebration of the opening of the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance in the Museum’s Robert Dawson Evans Wing.

The picture shows Lullaby: Madame Augustine Roulin Rocking a Cradle (La Berceuse), 1889, Vincent van Gogh. The exhibition will be on view through January 5, 2009. -- www.mfa.org
