Through this channel Queen Rania wishes to take the dialogue about the Arab region to a whole new and much wider demographic.
Queen Rania also wishes to confront the crazy stereotypes non-Arabs have about our region in a more elegant manner than usually found on the internet. I think this makes her the first Youtube Queen.
I always find it refreshing to see that some of our leaders, elected or not, are taking such a proactive approach in correcting this huge and dangerous misunderstanding. Next thing i think she should do is launch a widespread program in the Arab world for educating K-12ers and later college students and setting a foundation for a more Socratic form of teaching, encouraging lively debate and extensive reading habits.
What we really need now is a New Enlightenment spin on Youthquake, an open and highly accepting form of learning, where barriers are examined (not explored, there is a difference) and not adhered to and where group/mob mentality is discouraged.

To begin with, I have not had many stereotypes with regards to Arabs. I have been living all over the world for years and have now been in the Gulf for 5 months and my three boys are at school here. I feel we are very privileged to be living here in these times when there is such a divide between the West and the Middle East. We are able to learn first hand about the culture in the Arab world. I believe my children will grow up with a rounded view of the world and they will have no fear of Arabs or people of middle eastern decent as they have rubbed shoulders with them at school and sports grounds, and parties and they will view these Arab people as friends and understand that they are people with big hearts and a unique culture that deserves to be explored. Of course there are bad elements around but it all comes down to education, and if our children can learn about and experience the middle east then they will be better citizens for the future.
Concern for the queen
Queen rania of Jordan is driving at high gear. The Queen loves her creator and on the way of expressing that loves the religion of peace. She has volcano of Arab nationalism in her and she is ardent protector of Arab women's right.
All huge responsibility for one person apart from being caretaker of her people, the Jordenian and others.
Such responsibility requires roaring top gear than high speed gear.
Queen don't forget your time with your family, please, afterall everybody has one life.
Best regards
