American Jews To Vote For Obama With Overwhelming Margin

If the prediction by the Jewish leaders is anything to go by, then democratic presidential Hopeful Sen.Barack Obama will have an easy ride over John McCain amongst the Jewish voters come the November presidential election.Barack Obama is expected to attract a vast majority of Jewish Voters in the face of suspicion and criticism about his views on the current Iranian standoff and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to Ira Forman, executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council, Obama will sweep aside Sen. John McCain in the coming United States Presidential elections. National Jewish Democratic Council has strong ties with the Democratic Party.

Obama ‘s recent trip to Israel is seen as an attempt to reassure Jewish Voters that he stands for pro-Israeli views.Obama’s camp say his international foreign tour is meant to show Americans that Obama is good at foreign policy. John McCain has always stressed Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience.

Rabbi David Saperstein, director of the Religious Action Centre of Reform Judaism says that the long established political empathy amongst Jews and African Americans could water down concerns harboured within certain sections of Jewish voters that Obama doesn’t support Israeli views.

The Democratic Party has always enjoyed huge support amongst the Jews. In fact, they account to a great extent amongst big-hearted Democratic Party donors. The Jews who make up 3% of the voters are expected to turn out in big numbers.

A recent survey concluded that a majority of Jews are Democrats. In fact 65% of Jews have admitted to be democrats or have inclinations towards the Democratic Party. The report carried out in June by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life says only 23% of Jews have inclinations towards the Republican Party.

A Gallup poll conducted in April also found out that Obama a significant 61% support amongst the Jews compared to John McCain’s to 32%.

Recent surveys of the US presidential Election polls show that John McCain's polling numbers are dropping almost everywhere. McCain has dropped to below 50% in the southern states for the first time since he was the eventual nominee. He is below 40% for the first time in the Western states. He is below 45% for the first time in the Red States and has also dropped to below 40% in the Blue States.
