India’s technological advance in terms of architectural design is back in the spot light again. It’s not about the Antilla this time around; it’s about the building of a Cybertecture Egg.

Cybertecture Egg environments are hybrids designed from the inside out and they rely on technology to give the space intelligence needed to interact with its users. This building is expected to outshine all those that fall under this class. It is expected to be completed by the year 2010.

According to James Law Cybertecture International, the company commissioned by Vijay Associate to build Mumbai’s first Cybertecture Egg, “The concept was inspired by considering the world as an ecosystem allowing life to evolve. Elements of the design and intelligence systems will work together to give the building’s inhabitants the ‘best space to work in.”

The 32,000 sq m egg-shaped building is expected to accommodate 13 floors of offices bringing together “iconic architecture, environmental design, intelligent systems, and new engineering to create an awe-inspiring landmark in the city.”

There will be so many innovative systems within the building such as a ‘cybertecture health’ which is intended to monitor the health of the inhabitant’s reporting issues such as blood pressure and weight. This can later be analysed by a doctor if deemed necessary.
You are in position to do so many things when in the building. You can customize your favourite view. Due to the Technology and working environment that is intended to resemble ‘cybertecture reality,’ you can easily do any of these things.

The building is expected to be green. The egg is tilting in such a manner to both a strong visual language and to alleviate the solar gain of the building. The top of the building also has a sky garden which thermolysis.

Electricity will be generated by wind turbines installed on the sky garden powered by PV panels.

A water filtration system will also be incorporated into the building to recycle grey water for flushing and irrigation purpose.
The architects of Cybertecture went for the “Egg” shape because the structure has approximately ten to twenty percent less surface area compared to conventional buildings. An innovative structure derived from the skin of the egg creates up to 30m spans of column less floors will be included in the building.
