Mindy McCready is going back to rehab after trying to do herself in with her favorite swiggable and pharmaceutical — vodka and Ambien — and we hear Dr. Phil's inserting himself in the whole situation picture as the rescue mental health doctor.
We have learned the troubled Mindy McCready went off the deep end late last week after getting dumped by her boyfriend Roger Clemens and collapsed while on the phone with her mother. She downed a bottle of vodka and pills in what we’re told was a “suicide attempt.”
McCready is headed to Arizona for treatment, and a source says that was all Phil’s idea. We’re told he’s taken Mindy under his wing as a “personal project.” As for whether or not she’ll be on the show, time will tell.

What is interesting in the story with Mindy McCready is that Dr. Phil is putting himself into the picture. Is there not another doctor in the rehab that Dr. Phil is running to the rescue? Looks like caching in on Mindy's troubles. However, that's what the media does most of the time.
Dr. Phil needs more viewers and the story with Mindy McCready would be good for that. However, let's not blame Dr. Phil alone, it could be the show organizers are sending him there.
