According to a letter by Pitt’s attorneys published by U.S website www.thesmokinggun.com, pictures of Pitt and his family while on the grounds of their French estate were sneakily snapped and sold off to an anonymous buyer. It is not yet very clear which family member was exactly in the contested snaps.

Yael Holtkamp of the high-powered Los Angeles-based law firm Lavely & Singer in a powerful message available for scrutiny on the Smoking Gun website warned of dreadful penalties should the images end up on front pages or even on websites. Brad Pitt’s wife Angelina Jolie and the newborns checked out of the hospital on Saturday, just a week after the birth of her twins.Jolie gave birth to her twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon on July 12.

It appears that Pitt and Jolie have exclusive picture rights to the first photographs of their newborn twins to a U.S. publication. It this speculation is true, then the two superstars will certainly bag millions of dollars in the deal. It wouldn’t be shocking if this money is later donated to charity as the super rich couple seems to enjoy charity donations.

According to the attorneys, "The taking of the Photos constitutes a malicious violation of Mr. Pitt's privacy, including under the laws of California and France."

Holtkamp said they issued the warning after a certain site had openly sold pictures of Pitt and family on the website. It’s understood that the website has since removed the photos from the website after reaching an agreement with Pitt’s counsel.

Brad Pitt became famous during the mid-1990s after starring in several major Hollywood films. Pitt received a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for his role in the 1995 film Twelve Monkeys.
