Canadian App Store vs US App Store

There isn’t that many which are different but there is one that I definitely wanted on my iPhone that wasn’t available when I first looked in the app store. It is the eBay mobile app. I love eBay and after seeing the demo of it at the WWDC keynote, I had to have it.

A few of the apps not available in the Canadian store include:

* eBay mobile
* AOL Radio
* Pandora
* Loopt
* Google Mobile

Another good reason to having a US iTunes account is that there is a better selection of TV shows in the US store. The Canadian store is still very lacking. If Corner Gas and Degrassi are your favorite shows, than the Canadian store might be just fine for you. But if you like Lost and CSI like me, you might want the US store as well.

Well you can get apps from the US App store on your iPhone. It’s pretty simple actually. First you will have to follow my guide on how to set up a US iTunes account in Canada here. Then just log into your US account on your computer, go to the app store, find the eBay mobile app, download it, then sync it to your iPhone.
