Saturday, August 16 – Family Day at EMP|SFM
EMP|SFM hosts Family Days the third Saturday of every month. August’s Family Day features musical performances by beloved local kids band Recess Monkey at 12:00 and 1:30 pm in Sky Church; drum workshops with Seattle Drum School in SpinKids Station; and bilingual docent tours of American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music at 1:30 and 3:00 pm. Family Days are free to kids 10 and under.

Tuesday, August 19 – Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM –Altered by Elvis with Directors Jayce and Tiffany Bartok
EMP|SFM, in partnership with The Warren Report, present Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. The series includes new films, cult favorites and classic sci-fi and music films. Each screening is followed by a behind-the-scenes look through an interactive discussion with actors, directors or screenwriters associated with the film.
In August, EMP|SFM presents a screening of Altered by Elvis with directors Jayce and Tiffany Bartok. Warren Etheredge of The Warren Report will host the evening.
Altered By Elvis is a documentary that explores lives deeply and permanently affected by Elvis Presley. It follows those who have been imprinted, fathered, fulfilled and even destroyed by the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
In collaboration with Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM, Revolution Bar & Grill is pleased to offer a film-themed happy hour before the screenings. Thursday, September 4 – All Access Night at EMP|SFM
EMP|SFM offers free admission and live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month.
September’s All Access Night at EMP|SFM features 2008 Sound Off! finalists The Nextdoor Neighbors performing in Sky Church at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. All Access Nights are sponsored by The Boeing Company.
