The introduction of the interim review of the AEX-index, the AMX-index and the AScX-index was announced in March. The new procedure makes it possible to add new companies more quickly if the index temporarily consists of fewer than 25 companies. During the interim review, a company may also qualify for inclusion in the index if the AEX-index consists of 25 shares, if that company’s trading volume places it among the 15 highest-ranking companies.

The interim review takes place every year and is based on trading volume measured over the months July of the previous calendar year to June of the current year. The review comes into effect after the close of the market on the first trading day of September (provided that there has been trading on Euronext Amsterdam on that day in at least 95% of the shares included in the index, measured in terms of market capitalisation. If that is not the case, the reweighting will be delayed for one day, but the same conditions shall apply).

The first interim review will come into effect after the close of the market on 1 September. In accordance with the rules of the AEX-index, AMX-index and AScX-index, NYSE Euronext has selected the following companies.

AEX-index:

* Fugro - 6.50 shares

* Koninklijke BAM Groep - 12.00 shares

* USG People - 8.00 shares

* Wereldhave - 2.50 shares

No companies will be removed from the AEX-index.

* Koninklijke Ten Cate - 50.00 shares

* OPG Groep - 120.00 shares

* Pharming Groep - 252.00 shares

* Smit Internationale - 24.00 shares

Fugro, Koninklijke BAM Groep, USG People and Wereldhave will be removed from the AMX-index and included in the AEX-index.

* The free float percentages used to determine the number of shares are shown here in brackets as these percentages had not been announced at the time of the annual reweighting. The above mentioned companies which, as result of the interim review will be included in a new index or another index then the one they currently belong to with the assigned number of shares mentioned above.

The number of shares of companies that remain in the index after the annual reweighting will be determined after the close of the market on Monday 1 September 2008, and announced in a separate announcement.

The index compiler reserves the right to change the composition of the three indices if during the period before the reweighting mergers or takeovers take place or if the official listing of one or companies has ceased or resumed. In all cases, the index rules shall continue to apply. -- www.euronext.com
