The Mayflower Theatre is delighted to announce the return of Craig McLachlan (Neighbours, Home And Away and Bugs on TV) to play Prince Charming in Cinderella The Musical Pantomime. He previously won the hearts of the people of Hampshire in the role of Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and as Bob Wallace in Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Musical.

Craig will be joining Hollywood star Stefanie Powers (Hart to Hart) and a returning Matthew Kelly (2004 Olivier award winning actor, ITV's Stars in Their Eyes, and drama Cold Blood) and Christopher Biggins in the UK's biggest musical pantomime, Cinderella, The Musical Pantomime at The Mayflower, Southampton this Christmas.

Craig said, "I am so excited about returning to the Mayflower in Southampton especially at Christmas time as we had such fun with White Christmas. I cannot wait to start working with Biggins, Matt Kelly and Stefanie; I really am going to have a ball this Christmas."

Michael Rose, producer of Cinderella added, "Craig will be the ultimate Prince Charming, families adore him, and he truly stole the hearts of the Mayflower audiences over the past two years; can you imagine what it will be like when he is on stage with Christopher Biggins and Matthew Kelly? Audiences are in for the best treat this Christmas".

Christopher Biggins was crowned king of the jungle 2007 in ITV's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Biggins has had a long and varied career in television, film and theatre having appeared in numerous pantomimes across the country; he also appeared in the West End as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Christopher will be playing Buttons.

Matthew Kelly returns following his critically acclaimed performance as the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz at The Mayflower last Christmas. Donning a dress once more, and accompanied by his son Matthew Rixon, they will be playing the Ugly Sisters.

Stefanie Powers a veteran of over 200 television and film appearances as well as the star of massive '80s TV hit Hart to Hart will be making wishes come true as the Fairy Godmother. She recently played Anna in The King and I on tour throughout the United States.

So join Cinderella, Buttons, Prince Charming and Ryan the Rat in this extravaganza of a Christmas show. Filled with magic, mayhem and music from a full orchestra watch as they battle against the Ugly Sisters with a little help from their flying Fairy Godmother.
